The Dewalt 996 is excellent. Very pleased with it. Perfect for use with the Power Planter.
I bought the Dewalt Drill, couldn't get a better price. Powerful and easy to use. I also bought the set of Augers, makes the gardening very easy.
We have been in the garden mnt business for 26 years, specialising in Body corporate work and honestly, this has been a godsend. Love it, Steve Howell.
Very impressed. While you do have to do some work the cordless drill and the augers really do a great job. I dug some impressive holes through palm roots and stiff clay. Previously this was a job for crowbar, axe and other tools. I love me new tools!
They are both winners. The De Walt drill with the 5amp hour battery is great and the perfect match for the Power Planter. I decided to get the power planter because we were redoing our front garden and I had forty plants to put in. we had about 20 centimetre of topsoil and then a mixture of hard dirt and clay. Using the 24inch drill I drilled 40 holes in just over an hour and a half. I then shovelled them out and planted the various shrubs and flowers. Hard work but mad so much easier with the De Walt Power Planter matchup. PS I also use the Power Planter to mix up my compost and to dig small post holes. Worth every penny.
